Allen is open for creative work and commercial assisting in Western New York and NYC.
Kyra Allen is a visual artist and photographer based in Western New York, whose work functions as a meditation on movement, impulse, and surreal qualities of the human experience.
Through color, gesture, and body, Allen speaks a visual language that is laced with suggestions of dreams intruding upon reality, and asks the viewer to step into the space between those two worlds. By emphasizing collaboration and experimentation, she generates an environment that favors the bizarre, and celebrates the unpredictability of form.
